This weekend in the Donnie Farmer Baseball Tournament, the Tennessee Admirals captured the 6U Championship.
After a 32-6 beat down from the SWA Shooters in Game 1, the Admirals rallied back to win two straight including the Championship game.
The Admirals were charged with a game-saving double play by Hutch Paxton to close game two leading to the Championship game.
The combo of Hudson Owens (P) to Harper Schneiderman (1B) captured eight of the outs in the Championship game.
Hudson Higgins (2B,SS) represented five outs himself.
The onslaught of hitting batting over 400 percent for the day was led by Simon Kuharsky, Ryder Gregg, Parker Warf, and Daniel Libby. These kids in the hot 95 degree sun fought all day to capture the title.
The Nashville Notes outscored opponents 35-11 this, going 3-0, and capturing the 9U title.
Carson Hoard, Ayden Jackson, Luke Wyatt, Weston Parker, and Brady Schneiderman starred at the plate for the Notes, each batting above .400 on the weekend.
Jaylen Spring and Grady Harrison each added four RBIs in a game two win over the Grassland Legends. In the championship game versus Legends, the Notes faced an early 4-run deficit heading into the bottom of the first, but they reeled off 15 unanswered runs on their way to a 15-4 route.
Once again, the Notes strong pitching proved pivotal in their championship run. Led by Cory and Carson Hoard, the Notes’s staff struck out 19 batters in 13 innings of play. Chapman Smith led the way in this department, fanning seven batters over three innings while yielding two hits and allowing zero runs.
Admirals & Notes Win Farmer Tourney Titles
