On their next possession, Lawrence wasted little time, breaking away on the first play and scoring 55 yards later to make it 14-0.

To start the second quarter, Baylor marched 84 yards down the field and scored to cut the lead to 21-14.
But Lawrence and the Tigers were able to extend the lead once more before halftime, this time on a 16-yard Lawrence run to make it 28-14 at the break.
Neither team was able to score in the third quarter, but Ensworth quarterback Cole Kennon led his team to another 80-yard drive, this time capping it off with a 10-yard touchdown toss to Jude Maloy to give the Tigers a comfortable 35-14 lead with five minutes to play.
Baylor did manage another touchdown, but it was too little, too late as the Tigers improved to 3-1 on the season.
