King Leads Tigers' Rout of Trezevant

Ensworth was back in Bellevue this week and treated the home crowd a big win over Memphis Trezevant 54-14.

The Tigers offense dominated the Bears from start to finish, scoring on eight straight possessions.

Jaylon King ran for two touchdowns and threw for two more and Tim Covington also scored twice for the Tigers who evened their record at 2-2 on the season.

Ensworth racked up 467 yards on the night while holding Trezevant to 170. Nicky Clifton led the Tigers in rushing with 99 yards on 9 carries.

Rodney Owens led the receivers with 3 catches for 86 yards and touchdown. It was great night for the Ensworth defense as well, led by Owens 5 tackles. This was the Tigers best performance of the young season and the team has a lot of momentum heading into a big division game at home this Friday against Pope John Paul II.
