Nashville Christian had to travel down to just right outside Memphis, as they took on Fayette Academy. The Eagles won the game, 31-14.

It was a tough match-up for both teams looking for a win in district play.

Chad Kinnard had a great night as the Eagles quarterback as he was responsible for all four touchdowns. He ran a QB sneak in for a touchdown, as well as three touchdown passes to Jesse Watson.

Kinnard went 7 of 14 for 71 yards and three touchdowns.

Jesse Watson was Kinnard’s main target as he had five catches for 62 yards, with three of those catches being critical touchdowns.

Xavier Myers had another great night for the Eagles as he rushed for 226 yards on 31 carries.

Nashville Christian was able to move the ball, and also run the clock down, the entire second half with Xavier Myers lined up in the I-formation.

Jesse Parrish and Zach Young had a great night for the Eagles defensively. Parrish had 12 total tackles last night for the Eagles defense. Zach Young also had a great night as he was a part of seven tackles, most of which were in key situations. Young had a key pass deflection late in the game as well.

Daniel Watson also had a big night with 8 tackles and a sack. Brant Lawless was also creating havoc all night as he had three tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery.

As well as Jesse Watson’s three touchdowns offensively, he had a good night defensively.  Watson had six tackles, and an interception.

Zach Clark, Sid Morris and Will Irwin were contributors as well as they all had three tackles each defensively.

Nashville Christian heads to Columbia on Friday night as they take on Zion Christian Academy. Zion Christian has a 1-2 record, and is coming off a district loss to Clarksville Academy, 41-28.
