The Nashville Notes’ bats carried the team to a title in the USSSA Moms Rock Tournament, held this past weekend in Brentwood.

The Bellevue Middle School’s track team was well represented in the biggest meet of the year this week, coming in fourth place  in the 4 x 800 meter relay race, and medaling in the 1,600 meter individual race.

Young Hillwood Team Finishes Year Strong


Inspired by the annual award Positive Coaching Alliance gives to the best “Double-Goal” coaches nationwide, Nashville FC Youth is recognizing coaches this spring within its recreational program that model the principles of a Double-Goal Coach®, one who pursues winning, but even more importantly teaches life lessons through sport.

Hillwood High School’s varsity baseball team played more games this year than ever before, and the lessons learned on the field over the long season paid off in the playoffs, as the Hilltoppers advanced to the district championship game, and then to the regional tournament.

“We were a really young team and played a lot of baseball (36 games) during the regular season,” coach Randy Harrell said.

The Christ Presbyterian Academy’s varsity baseball and soccer teams are once again in position to make runs at state titles.

In 2015, both teams won the Class A/AA state titles, and last year’s teams both finished second after coming short in the championship games.

Ensworth varsity baseball team defeated Father Ryan in two straight games this week to advance to the TSSAA Division II state quarterfinals.
