The past weekend the 10u Tennessee Storm finished runner-up out of seven teams in the Echo Traditional Travel Qualifier Tournament in Snellville, Georgia.

Six of the eight team members represented the local inline hockey program, BLAST Youth Roller Hockey in Bellevue.

They finished the round robin portion 3-1 with an exciting first game, scoring with 30 seconds left to win 6-5.

As the #2 seed, they won another close game in the semi-finals 7-5.

In the finals playing the undefeated Junior Gladiators White from Atlanta, the Storm was down 3-1 with three minutes left in the game before falling 6-1.

“It was great to see our kids fight hard against an experienced team of mostly 10 year old players,” said one parent

“We did not know how competitive this tournament was going to be. Our team got to play six games total and had fun,” added another parent.

The tournament had divisions from 10u up to adult.  The Echo travel finals are May 4-6 also in Snellville, GA.
