The BSAA 12-U Smashers had a couple games rained out recently and they were able to make them up Sunday afternoon.  The first game was against the Shamrocks.  Katie Green was on the mound for the Shamrocks followed by Madeline Barnett .

The Shamrocks came out swinging their bats.  They scored seven the first inning.  Madden Hansen, Madeline Barnett, Natalie White and Bailey Elliott each scored Katie Green and Emma Golczynski scored one run each and hit singles. Mia Thompson doubled and scored. Sloane Hansen hit a single.

On the mound for the Smashers was Brooklyn Baldwin, Makenzie Black, who had three strikeouts for the 2nd inning and Luci Grinder who pitched the 3rd and 4th inning with one strikeout.

Not to be outdone, the Smashers responded with hits of their own.  Brooklyn Baldwin hit 2 singles and scored two.  Kenzie Black hit a double, single and scored.  Luci Grinder hit a home run, a single and scored two.  Layla Lucas hit a triple, single and scored a run. Reese Anderson singled and scored two. Tayler Tanksley and Hannah McCormick each scored two.   Makenzie Kerr scored a run.

Tip of the hat to Raelyn Heightman who played up from the 10-U league.  She made a great right field throw to first getting the runner out.

The final score was Smashers 13 and Shamrocks 7.

Game 2 was against Auto Art Body Shop a 12-U team from the green hills league.  It was great to play another team in the league rotation.

Pitching first for the Smashers was Brooklyn Baldwin who had a strike out.  Kenzie Black pitched the 2nd inning with a strikeout and Luci Grinder had two strikeouts for the 3rd inning.

Hitting for the Smashers was Brooklyn Baldwin who singled and scored two.  Luci Grinder who singled, doubled and scored two.  Layla Lucas who singled and scored two.  Reese Anderson and Makenzie Black each scored a run. Madeline Barnett, who graciously filled in for the Smashers who were short handed, singled and scored.

Getting hits for the  Green Hills Auto Art team was #11,  who hit a triple and #4 who hit a single.

The final score was 9 Smashers to 8 Auto Art Body Shop.
