Eagles Win Tough Contest v Trousdale

The Nashville Christian School faced a very tough test in the final week of the regular season, and aced it, beating Trousdale County High School 43-20.

Trousdale came into the game with a 8-1 record, but the Eagles showed why they are the defending 1A state champions.

The Eagles jumped out to a 43-7 lead after three quarters and held on in the fourth to earn the win.

Lelan Wilhoite ran 17 times for 149 yards and four touchdowns to once again lead the Eagles.

Xavier Myers also rushed 17 times for NCS, gaining 106 yards and scoring from nine yards out for the game’s first score.

Slater Howard was quarterback Bryce Pemberton’s favorite target, catching three passes for 27 yards.

NCS was able to gain 284 yards on  the ground, while holding Trousdale to just 29 yards in the air.
