Nashville FC Enjoys Opening Day Weather

The weather finally cooperated and local youth soccer players were able to play last weekend, kicking off the 2018 Nashville FC Recreation Spring Season.

NFC, formerly the Harpeth Youth Soccer Association (HYSA) was able to get in  75  games on Opening Day 2018.

“It was a very busy day,” said director of recreation Kelly Foster.

And busy it was, with more 1,000 players taking to the fields to compete in 75 games.  More than 2,500 family members and friends attended the games.

The teams vary in age from U4-U12.  Official scores are not kept, but every mom in attendance is keeping track.

Woods Murphy from Corner Pub in the Woods and Murph’s Bar-B-Que provided the tasty food.

There will be a recreation tournament on May 12 & 13th, according to Kelly.

“People can go online now through the beginning of May to register,” Kelly said.

“Just go to www.nashvillefcyouth.com and follow the link,” she said.
