Wondering how best to support your child through their youth sports experience? Whether you’re child is playing sports recreationally or through a more competitive “travel” league, most people quickly become aware of the increasing interest and importance placed on youth sports. What most people don’t realize is how much our professional sports culture is infiltrating and affecting our young athletes’ experience, and not in a positive way. As research continues to highlight the significant impact that today’s youth sports culture is having on our youth, come learn how you can best navigate the terrain to support your child to thrive and get the most out of their youth sports experience.
Nashville FC Youth, through a grant from The Predators Foundation, will be hosting Positive Coaching Alliance trainer Jonathan Rivers on Friday, August 4th at 6 p.m. for a parent talk on “Tips and Tools to Develop Winners in Life Through Sports” for all club members and friends.
Positive Coaching Alliance is a national non-profit seeking to stem the tide of children dropping out of sports by educating coaches, parents and the public about the incredible positive impact sports can have, with the right focus and a positive environment, and more importantly, how to achieve it.
The mindset and mental skills developed and used playing sports are increasingly being lauded as qualities that correlate with success in life.
Help us create the positive environment that is critical to learning and developing these life skills and be part of the movement in Nashville to create a development-focused youth sports culture!
The public is welcome to attend the free talk on Friday August 4th from 6 -7 p.m. at CrossPoint Church in Bellevue. Accompanying books are available for a small donation.
