Nashville SC announced another stop on its #DriveToNissan for its home opener on March 24. The club will play Lipscomb University on its campus on March 1 at 4 p.m. in a preseason tune up two days before Nashville SC travels to FC Cincinnati.

“It is a pleasure to play against such a successful local university here in Nashville,” said Nashville SC head coach Gary Smith. “This gives us a great opportunity to continue to evaluate the depth we have on our roster.”

“We are excited to be a part in preparing Nashville SC for its first season as a professional club,” said Lipscomb head coach Charles Morrow. “The energy and momentum behind soccer in Nashville right now is unprecedented. We are also preparing for our 2018 fall season. Having the opportunity to play a professional side is a barometer for us right now as players are taking on new roles in our spring season.”

Lipscomb is coming off its best season in program history, winning its first ASUN Championship and making the NCAA Tournament in 2017.

It will also be a homecoming of sorts for Nashville SC keeper Micah Bledsoe, who played at Lipscomb from 2013-2017. Bledsoe is Lipscomb’s program record-holder in wins, save pct. and shutouts.

While this game is not included in Nashville SC season ticket packages, tickets to the game are available now through Lipscomb Athletics ticket website at Tickets for fans 13 and older are $10, 6-12 are $5, and under 5 are free.
