Notes Go 4-0 in Tournament Victory

The Nashville Notes outscored opponents 43-10 on their way to a 10U title in the TN Game 7 Appreciation Tournament, which was held in Murfreesboro this past weekend.  

The team went 4-0 on the weekend, collecting wins over clubs from Franklin, Smyrna, Mt. Juliet and Knoxville.     

Tyler Mullen, Weston Parker, Cory Hoard, Brady Schneiderman and Grant Thomas paced the way at the plate for the Notes, each hitting above .400 on the weekend.  Mullen lead the way for the Notes, batting .833 with a homerun, 3 doubles and 7 RBIs.  Cory Hoard batted .778 with 5 doubles and 8 runs scored.

In the championship game versus Knoxville Diamond Blue, the Notes faced an early deficit heading into the bottom of the third, but they reeled off nine unanswered runs on their way to a 13-5 route.  

Strong pitching and defense proved pivotal for the Notes in their championship run.  Led by Cory Hoard, Ayden Jackson, Carson Hoard and Chapman Smith, the Notes’s staff struck out 17 batters in 17 innings of play while posting a 1.76 ERA
