The Bellevue Middle School Owls faced an unbeaten HG Hill team on Thursday. Bellevue had trouble from the get go moving the ball on a very tough Hill defense.

HG Hill jumped out to a fast start and the Owls never recovered . The Owls trailed at the half 20-0 and had no answer for a very good Hill squad.

The Owls had to move numerous players around as injuries are taking a toll on the team .

Two players went out with season-ending injuries.

AJ Bonner and Dra Davis went down early in the second half and were taken off the field.

The Owls still fought all the to the final horn.

“We are on our third quarterback of the season which is a huge setback,” siad Owls coach Paul Evetts.

“The kids have never given up all year despite the injuries and bad luck. This is a resilient  group of kids we have here at Bellevue who are learning a lot about life and football thru this difficult season,” the coach said.

The Owls finish up the season this Thursday with Rose Park at Bellevue with a start time of 5pm.

“Hope everyone come out and cheer thee owls on in the last game of the season,” Evetts said.
