BMS Hits Its Stride as Playoffs Approach

"The home of hometown heroes"

The Bellevue boys basketball team moved their winning streak to three games last week with wins over McKissack 44-39 and Cameron 37-34.  The Owls seem to be finding the right combination as tournament time nears.

Its been an up and down season for the Owls who support a 5-8 record going into this weeks game with JT Moore. Moore  sits atop the standings.  It will be an excellent time for the Owls to knock off the number one team before tournament seeding.

“We are finally starting to hit our stride with the tournament seeding and games upon us,”  stated Coach Evetts.  “If we are playing together and playing team defense we are capable of beating anyone in the city,” coach Evetts added .

The Owls last two games are evident things are starting to mess.

“It being my first year here at Bellevue the boys are starting to buy into my way of doing things,” stated Evetts.  “Hopefully with this more wins will follow.”

The Owls were led in scoring the previous two games by sharp shooter Donovan Smith with 18 and 21 respectively. Jonah Lane pitched in 12 and 7 this week also.

The Owls travel to JT Moore on Feb. 6
