The Christ Presbyterian Academy girls varsity soccer team steamrolled through the district and regional tournaments and now will try to add a state championship title to their impressive resume.

The Lady Lions won the District 12 A/AA crown, then added the Region 6 A/AA title and will now take on Knoxville Grace in the state quarterfinals today.

The Lady Lions carry a 18-4-2 record, scoring 75 goals this season, while giving up only 15.

This year’s senior class, led by Emma Grace Barton, Sarah Sievertsen and Anna Avinger have won three district and regional titles and appeared in three state tournaments.

This is the 10th time the Lady Lions will compete for the title.  They’ve made the tournament every year since 2007, except in 2014.

They will face the winner of the Chattanooga Christian and Madison Academic game in the semi’s
