The Bellevue Steelers AA team is looking forward to a fun day this Sunday as the Tennessee Titans take on the Seattle Seahawks.
The Titans and Seahawks are both coming off big wins and both enter the game with 1-1 records.
The Bellevue Steelers players and coaches will take in the afternoon game together and immediately after they will take on the Hendersonville Mustangs on the field at Nissan Stadium.
Over the years the Bellevue Steelers have teamed up with the Tennessee Titans to give many kids the opportunity to watch a NFL game and play on a NFL field.
It’s an incredible opportunity for the players and for some it’s their first time to watch a Titans game in person.
Steelers Athletic Director David Bonner views this event as an opportunity for the kids to make memories that last a lifetime.
“The kids will never forget this day. Some of the players will continue to play football and some won’t, but they will always remember the fun we are going to have together as a team on Sunday,” Bonner said.
“We are really looking forward to spending the afternoon with our players just hanging out and watching the Titans. Running out of that tunnel at Nissan Stadium to cheering fans is going to be an awesome experience for the kids,” Bonner added.
“I really want to thank Jim Rice and the Titans for making this possible, he said”
The Steelers will join teams from Hendersonville and Mt. Juliet on the field immediately after the completion of the Titans game to compete in scrimmages on each end of Nissan Stadium.
Since this is a rare 3 p.m. start, the kids will get to play under the lights in front of their families, friends, and fans.
If you are going to the Titans game this Sunday, please hang around after the game ends to check out the boys from Bellevue.
This Steelers AA team is heading into their final three games of the regular season and look to build some momentum heading into the playoffs. For some of the players, it will be their final season as a Bellevue Steeler as they age out of the program.
The Steelers would like to congratulate the following players on their time with the Steelers and wish them the best of luck and success as they move on. They are Jeffrey Anderson, Drew Bonner, Kyree Bowden, Brenden Huffines, Jack Henry Jakobik, Demarion Shields, and Vaseer Walker.
We hope they continue to love the game of football and excel in the classroom.
Other Steelers teams will also be in action this week as they travel to Davidson Academy to take on the Jefferson Street Bills.
