The Bellevue Steelers CC team pulled out an exciting overtime win over the Oakland Patriots on Saturday at Bellevue Middle School.

 Jayden Guy scored one of his three touchdowns in overtime and the Steelers defense held the Patriots on fourth down to escape with a hard-fought 25-19 win. 

The defense was led by Garrett Palmer and Selik Thompson. 

Head coach Rob Abernathy, in his first year with Steelers, noted “the team’s relentless effort to win proved to be the difference today.” 

Quarterback Treyton Pearson continued to play well, scoring on a touchdown run and leading his team to four scoring drives on the day. 

Next up for the CC team is a trip to Bell Buckle to face Cascade. Game time is 12:30 p.m. at Cascade High School. 

The Steelers C team also enjoyed victory with a 20-12 win Saturday over the Hendersonville Titans. The offense was led by running back Sevi Hansen-Murray and his two rushing touchdowns. 

Jon Jon Patterson anchored a Steelers defense that held the Titans in check most of the day. 

Head coach Rob Hodgin was very proud of the boys, stating “the team performed outstandingly in the face of many trials.”

 The C team is made up mostly of first year players and have shown great improvement each week. 

The Steelers C team takes there show on the road this week to Spring Hill to take on the Hawks. Game time is 9:30 a.m.

Steelers Win Exciting Game in OT
