Tigers Still In Hunt For Multiple State Titles

Ensworth varsity baseball team defeated Father Ryan in two straight games this week to advance to the TSSAA Division II state quarterfinals. 

Christian Dixon didn’t allow a single run as Ensworth defeated Father Ryan 1-0 on Saturday. Dixon allowed just two hits and induced a fly out from Ryan Ragsdale to end the game.

Garrett Schultz and Patrick Vandenbergh each collected multiple hits for Ensworth.

The Tigers face Briarcrest in a doubleheader on tonight, and if needed, will play a tiebreaker Thursday at noon.

Ensworth Hosts  

Lacrosse Playoffs

Ensworth is hosting the TGLA Girls Lacrosse state semifinals and finals this Friday and Saturday. 

The Tigers face rival Harpeth Hall in the semifinals on Friday at 7 p.m. and the Finals will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday. 

The championship will likely be a rematch of last year’s state finalists, Hutchison and Ensworth. 

All girls lacrosse games will be played in the football stadium and tickets are priced at only $7 each.




Ensworth is also hosting the TSLA Boys Lacrosse state semifinals this Friday at the Ensworth Turf Field. at 7:30 p.m. 

The Tigers will take on Evangelical Christian School, and a win will put them in the State Championship on Saturday at Pope John Paul II School.
