"The home of hometown heroes"

Patrick Coyle’s walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning led Hillwood High School’s varsity baseball team past Antioch 5-4 on Thursday. 

The game was tied at four with Hillwood batting in the bottom of the ninth when Coyle singled off of Tyler Griffin, driving in the winning run..

Hillwood scored four runs in the third inning, and again Coyle played a big part, smashing a double. Matthew Coyle also had a key hit in the inning. 

Rolly Hunt earned the win for Hillwood. He pitched four innings, surrendering zero runs, two hits, striking out four, and walking one. Carson Robertson took the loss for Antioch. He tossed seven innings, allowing four runs, five hits, and striking out two.

Matthew Gibson started the game for Hillwood. He tossed four innings, giving up three runs, five hits, striking out six, and walking one.

Coyle led the Hilltoppers with two hits in four at bats.
